American Movie: Flame Broiled

One of my favourite movies is American Movie. I can’t explain really what this film is about, you could say it is about a guy in the midwest of America who has been making a B&W film called Coven for the last decade on a paper boy’s wage, but that is not what this film is really about.

To get an idea of what this movie is really about watch this clip of Mark Borchardt explaining how life can be pretty sweet when a flame broiled BK burger is served with a Coke (good as hell) and not a Pepsi (fuck that).

You can buy signed copies of this DVD and other Mark Borchardt and Mike Schank goodies at the American Movie store. I have it on good authority that Mike Schank’s signed “Songs I Know” is well worth the $10.
